About Bucktown CrossFit
Bucktown CrossFit is a veteran owned and operated CrossFit affiliate operating within Chicago Elite Fitness and is the central aspect of our community. We are located in the Elston corridor between the Bucktown and Lincoln Park neighborhoods of Chicago.
Chicago Elite fitness offers programs for CrossFit, general fitness, olympic weightlifting, and strength & conditioning. Our community of motivated coaches and clients are all here to develop physical fitness through positivity, hard work, and mental toughness.
Bucktown CrossFit Philosophy
Chicago Elite Fitness began as a community of like minded men and women with an interest at pursuing a high level of fitness without excessive cost. We have grown in numbers, but continue to be passionate about developing people into athletes with a high level of fitness and functional skill. We believe that with the appropriate training, and the will to work hard, anyone can be uncommonly fit and reclaim command of their fitness and health.
Bucktown CrossFit Training Methods
Bucktown CrossFit utilizes a holistic athlete development program in conjunction with our CrossFit methodology. We believe that life is easier for those people who are strong and have excellent control of their bodies. We place an emphasis on development of athleticism and power through practicing the Olympic lifts regularly. Our trainees will also build their strength through a defined linear program. Trainees will become adept at many different skills including gymnastics, weightlifting, and cardiovascular training.
Every session includes a CrossFit workout of the day (WOD). This high intensity metabolic conditioning is constantly varied and is the driving force of our program. Athletes will get fitter than they ever have been through constantly varied functional movements executed at high intensity. Our workouts range from heavy and fast to long and light.
Who We Train
We have worked with people all along the spectrum of fitness, from untrained desk-jockeys to professional athletes. We have found that functional fitness benefits all people regardless of ability. By scaling load and difficulty we are able to train any healthy person with efficacy.
Fitness is not a prerequisite, it is a goal. None of us is a finished product.
Any motivated person with the drive to work hard and not give-up is welcome at Bucktown CrossFit!
